SUMMARY:South Florida Pride Youth Band Season 15\, presented by FLoatarama
DESCRIPTION:South Florida Pride Youth Band Season 15\, presented by FLoatarama\, brings together high school students from across the tri-county area to perform alongside members of the South Florida Pride Concert Band—demonstrating the bridge-building power of music in our community. These students have been rehearsing for the past month and will perform under the direction of Dr. Erika Svanoe\, composer and conductor of the University of Wisconsin–Stout Symphonic Band. \n\nNew this year is the introduction of the South Florida Pride Youth Jazz Band\, led by Mr. Edgar Rubio\, along with the inaugural FLoatarama Jazz Band Scholarship in the amount of $2\,500. Additionally\, ten or more $1\,500 college scholarships will be awarded to members of the Pride Youth Band. DESCRIPTION:The Sunday Jazz Brunch is an ideal way to relax and enjoy Fort Lauderdale’s scenic Riverwalk. This free\, live outdoor concert series features the area’s best local jazz artists. Listen to the music on three different stages on the first Sunday of each month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Well-behaved leashed pets are also welcome to attend. There is plenty of room to set up chairs\, blankets\, and picnic baskets to experience the fabulous entertainment.
